Manjupoloru Penkutti (2004)

Manjupoloru Penkutti, meaning 'a girl like the mist', is a Malayalam coming-of-age drama from director Kamal. It follows a teenage girl on the edge of adulthood, played by Amritha Prakash, whose first romantic feelings and her need for independence strain her close relationship with her mother, played by Bhanupriya. Kamal treats adolescence and the generation gap with sympathy, and the songs by Alphons Joseph were among its attractions.
