Masss (2015)

Masilamani, called Mass, and his friend Jet Li make their living through petty cons in Chennai. After a road accident leaves Mass briefly dead and then very much alive, he discovers that he can see and talk to the spirits of the dead, who crowd around him with requests. He realises the ghosts make perfect partners for a new line of scams, but one spirit in particular has a story that leads him to a crime from the past and a connection to his own family. Venkat Prabhu, the director of Chennai 600028 and Mankatha, blends horror comedy, heist capers and a revenge drama, with Suriya in a double role. The film's title was changed during release to Massu Engira Masilamani, and Yuvan Shankar Raja's music matched the film's playful mood.
