Mayalodu (1993)

Mayalodu, meaning 'the magician', is a Telugu comedy-drama from S. V. Krishna Reddy, who both directed it and composed its music. Rajendra Prasad plays a cheerful street magician who earns his living with tricks and sleight of hand, and who ends up using his skills against the selfish and powerful people who exploit those around him. Soundarya, early in her career, is the heroine, and Brahmanandam adds comedy. The rain song 'Chinuku Chinuku Andelatho' became one of the best remembered Telugu songs of the 1990s.
