A mysterious and dazzling woman called Mayamohini arrives in a Kerala town and sets the menfolk competing for her attention, among them a hapless lawyer and a pair of scheming brothers. Behind the make-up is a man with a reason to be in disguise, and his plan to settle a score turns into a farce of mistaken desires and close shaves. Mayamohini was built entirely around Dileep, who had already played an effeminate man in Chanthupottu and here commits to a full glamorous transformation with costumes, make-up and dance numbers. Written by the hit-making team of Udayakrishna and Siby K. Thomas, the film was one of the big Malayalam commercial successes of 2012, despite mixed reviews, with Biju Menon and Raai Laxmi in strong support.
