Meera Ka Mohan (1992)

Meera Ka Mohan is a romantic drama from 1992, the period when song-driven love stories with fresh faces filled Hindi cinemas. It stars Avinash Wadhawan, a leading man of several early-1990s romances, opposite Ashwini Bhave, who was then making her mark in Hindi films after her debut in Henna and was also a popular star in Marathi cinema. As its title suggests, the film draws on the devotional image of Meera and her love for Mohan (Krishna) to frame its romance. It is a modest production, of interest to fans of its leads and of the melodious, sentimental romances of the time.
