Minsara Kanna (1999)

Kannan falls for a young woman whose elder sister, a strong-willed woman, runs the family with an iron hand and has no patience for love affairs. To win his way in, he hides who he really is and joins the household as an employee, and the comedy comes from his efforts to keep up the act while winning over the whole family. Directed by K. S. Ravikumar, the maker of Muthu and Padayappa, Minsara Kanna is a light romantic family entertainer from Vijay's late-nineties phase, with Khushbu in a commanding role as the elder sister and songs by Deva.
