Ms. Nandini (2018)

Ms. Nandini is a 2018 Kannada drama directed by Gurudatta S. R., starring Priyanka Upendra as a young teacher posted to a neglected government school. Faced with empty classrooms, indifferent officials and parents lured towards expensive private schools, she sets out to show that a public school can offer children a real education, and in doing so makes enemies among those who profit from the system. The film carries a clear social message about the state of government education in Karnataka. It is a women-led drama for viewers who like idealistic, issue-based films.
