Missamma (2003)

Missamma is a 2003 Telugu drama from director Neelakanta, known for thoughtful middle-of-the-road films such as Show. Bhumika Chawla plays a rich and powerful woman who heads a business and is used to getting her way, Sivaji plays a decent middle-class man who enters her orbit, and Laya plays his wife, whose life is turned upside down by the connection between the two. The film treats its unusual triangle with sensitivity rather than as melodrama. The title echoes the classic 1955 Telugu film Missamma, though the story is different.
