A father takes his young daughter to London for urgent medical treatment, but a desperate attempt to raise money for the operation lands him in a high-security prison. There, with his daughter waiting for him outside, he discovers that a group of inmates linked to a terror network is planning a mass breakout and an attack, and a senior prison officer, played by Amy Jackson, has to decide whether to trust him. Mission: Chapter 1 was originally announced under the title Achcham Enbadhu Illaye and was shot largely in the United Kingdom, with prison action that gave Arun Vijay plenty of room for his physical style. It marked Amy Jackson's return to Tamil cinema after several years, reuniting her with A. L. Vijay, who had launched her in Madrasapattinam. Nimisha Sajayan plays a key role.
