MLA (2018)

Kalyan is a likeable young man whose friends call him MLA, for "Manchi Lakshanalu Unna Abbayi" (a boy with good qualities). He falls for Indu, who comes from a powerful family, and to win her he enters into a wager that pulls him into an election against a ruthless local strongman. The first half is light romantic comedy, while the second turns to village politics and mass action. Written and directed by debutant Upendra Madhav, the film reunited Kalyan Ram and Kajal Aggarwal, with Bhojpuri star Ravi Kishan as the villain and music by Mani Sharma.
