A young man and woman fall in love and their families agree to the match. But at the wedding itself a quarrel between the two fathers, both proud, short-tempered men, escalates into a feud, and the bride's family takes her home. The husband, the mogudu of the title, refuses to give up on his marriage and sets out to bring the two families together. Krishna Vamsi, known for family dramas such as Ninne Pelladata and Murari, directs a story about ego, family honour and the marriages caught in between, with Rajendra Prasad and Roja in strong supporting roles.
