Mohre (1987)

Mohre ("pawns") is a 1987 Hindi drama directed by Raghuvir Kul. It is notable mainly for its cast, caught just before fame: Madhuri Dixit, who would become the biggest female star of Hindi cinema after Tezaab the following year, Nana Patekar, still establishing the intense screen persona that made him famous, and Anupam Kher, a few years after his breakthrough in Saaransh. As the title suggests, the story is about ordinary people used as pieces in someone else's game. It is a modest, rarely seen film that rewards viewers interested in these actors' early work.
