Mr. Romeo (1996)

Mr. Romeo is a 1996 Tamil musical action comedy built around the dancing of Prabhu Deva, who plays two lookalike men whose lives become entangled, with romance, mistaken identity and a gang of villains in the mix. Shilpa Shetty, in her first Tamil film, and Madhoo play the women in their lives. The film is best remembered for A. R. Rahman's energetic soundtrack, including the hit 'Romeo Aattam Pottal', and for dance numbers that showed off Prabhu Deva's style at the height of his fame as 'India's Michael Jackson'. It was dubbed into Hindi under the same title and remains a favourite with fans of 1990s dance films.
