Mukunda is a calm, principled young man in a small Andhra town who is always ready to stand up for his friends and for what is right. His quiet resistance puts him on a collision course with the town's municipal chairman, a manipulative politician who will stop at nothing to keep his power, just as Mukunda grows close to the chairman's daughter. The film unfolds slowly, with more attention to town life, friendships and politics than to fights. It was the debut of Varun Tej, son of Naga Babu and nephew of Chiranjeevi, and the first Telugu film of Pooja Hegde. Director Srikanth Addala was known for the family hit Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu.
