Mulzim (1963)

Mulzim ('the accused') is a 1963 Hindi crime drama starring Pradeep Kumar, Shakila and Johnny Walker, with dancer Helen. As the title suggests, it centres on a man accused of a crime and his struggle to prove his innocence, combining suspense with romance, comic interludes from Johnny Walker and song-and-dance numbers. It belongs to the popular crime-melodrama strand of early-1960s Hindi cinema and has also circulated in a colourised version.
