Mumbai Matinee (2003)

Debu is a gentle, shy man past thirty who has never had a girlfriend, much to the amusement of his friends. Through an absurd misunderstanding he suddenly becomes notorious across Mumbai and finds himself treated as a celebrity and a scandal at once, while a young woman played by Perizaad Zorabian enters his life. Anant Balani's comedy pokes fun at Indian attitudes to sex, fame and the media, with Rahul Bose, a staple of the early-2000s English-language and multiplex films, and Vijay Raaz in a scene-stealing role.
