Mutha Mestri (1993)

Bose is the head of the coolies at a busy wholesale market, a hero to the workers who carry its loads and a thorn in the side of the traders and politicians who exploit them. His fights on their behalf make him a popular figure, and before long the political class sees him as a threat to be crushed or a tool to be used. Bose decides to fight on their ground. Mutha Mestri ("head of the porters") was one of Chiranjeevi's commercial hits of the early 1990s, combining his dancing and action with a pro-worker, anti-corruption message. A. Kodandarami Reddy, who directed him in many films including Khaidi, keeps it in full mass-entertainer mode, with Meena and Roja as the heroines and songs by Raj–Koti.
