My Wife's Murder (2005)

Ravi Patwardhan is a quiet, hard-working film editor married to Sheela, a suspicious, quarrelsome woman who makes his life miserable. One night an argument goes horribly wrong and Sheela dies. Panicking, Ravi hides the body and covers his tracks, but every lie forces another, and a sharp, unhurried police inspector played by Boman Irani starts to suspect that Sheela's disappearance is not what it seems. Produced by Ram Gopal Varma and remade from the Telugu thriller Madhyanam Hathya, the film is a tight, low-key suspense drama carried by Anil Kapoor's convincing everyman and Boman Irani's cat-and-mouse turn.
