Nadaan (1971)

Nadaan ("innocent") is a 1971 Hindi comedy-drama directed by Hari Walia, with Asha Parekh and Navin Nischol in the lead and Madan Puri in support. The story follows a guileless heroine whose innocence gets her into scrapes, and a romance that has to survive misunderstandings and the plans of scheming elders. It belongs to the light family entertainers of the early 1970s, with songs and comedy carried by Asha Parekh, then one of Hindi cinema's top stars, and Navin Nischol, who had just made his name with Sawan Bhadon.
