Param and Jasmeet fall in love at a wedding in Punjab and marry happily, but Jasmeet wants more than life as a daughter-in-law; she wants a career and the freedom she imagines abroad. When her husband's family will not hear of her working, she takes a drastic step to reach London, and Param, refused a visa, sets out to follow her through a series of illegal and increasingly absurd routes. The film was conceived by Vipul Shah as a spiritual successor to his 2007 hit Namastey London, though with a new story and characters. It reunited Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra, whose first film together was Ishaqzaade, and was shot in Punjab and Europe, but it was a box-office disappointment.
