Namoona (1949)

Namoona (1949), meaning an example or a specimen, is a social drama directed by Hira Singh, with Kishore Sahu and Kamini Kaushal in the leads and Leela Chitnis in support. It belongs to the period just after Independence when many Hindi films took up questions of family, duty and social change, and it offers a glimpse of Kamini Kaushal early in her career.
