Karthik is a strict, joyless software manager in Hyderabad, feared by his team and determined to win a posting abroad. When his father in the village insists on arranging his marriage, Karthik claims he already has a girlfriend and pays Meghana, a cheerful college student who acts in short films, to play the part. She throws herself into the role with enthusiasm, and her warmth slowly cracks his armour, while the lie becomes harder and harder to keep up. Sudheer Babu produced the film himself, and it marked the Telugu debut of Nabha Natesh, whose lively performance was one of its most praised elements. Ajaneesh Loknath, the Kannada composer, wrote the music.
