Nene Raju Nene Mantri (2017)

Jogendra is a moneylender in a small town who is known for his fairness and is utterly devoted to his wife Radha. When an act of humiliation by the local sarpanch's family leads to tragedy for Radha, Jogendra decides that the only answer is power. He contests and wins the village election, then aims higher and higher, outwitting and eliminating rivals on his way to the Chief Minister's chair. But the deeper he goes into politics, the more he loses sight of the woman he did it all for. Nene Raju Nene Mantri, meaning 'I am the king, I am the minister', is a political drama from director Teja and was a hit for Rana Daggubati after Baahubali, with Kajal Aggarwal as the wife at the story's centre.
