Nenjinile (1999)

Nenjinile is a Tamil action drama directed by S. A. Chandrasekhar, Vijay's father, who directed several of his son's early films and helped shape his rise to stardom. Vijay plays a young man whose love story with the character played by Isha Koppikar becomes entangled with crime and violence, a combination of romance, action and songs typical of his late-1990s films. Deva composed the music. It belongs to the period just before Vijay became one of the biggest stars in Tamil cinema.
