Nimhans (2013)

Nimhans is a 2013 Kannada film directed by H. K. Ramesh, with Surya, E Naroha and Vidya in the lead roles. Its title is the familiar short name of the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro-Sciences in Bengaluru, a name that has become everyday shorthand in Karnataka for the world of mental illness and its treatment. It is a modest production with a cast of newer faces, and the Hindi version brings it to viewers outside Karnataka who follow smaller Kannada releases of the early 2010s.
