Rishi is a cheerful, middle-class student who falls in love with his classmate Anjali. Her father, the wealthy industrialist Vishwanath, adores his only daughter and cannot bear the thought of a boy like Rishi taking her away, so a battle of wits begins between the young man and the father, with Anjali torn between them. Nuvve Nuvve ("only you") was the directorial debut of Trivikram Srinivas, who had made his name writing dialogue for hits like Nuvvu Naaku Nachav, and his witty, emotional lines are the film's strength. Prakash Raj's performance as the doting, controlling father is the centre of the story, and the songs by Koti were popular. It was one of Shriya Saran's early Telugu films.
