Obavva (2019)

Obavva takes its name from Onake Obavva, the legendary woman of Chitradurga who is remembered for defending the fort with a pestle, and it is a Kannada woman-centred action drama starring Ayesha, with Bullet Prakash in support. In the spirit of its title, it follows a brave woman who stands up to men who threaten her and others. Little more detail about its story is widely documented. It circulates in Hindi as Fighter Rani.
