Oh My Friend (2011)

Chandu and Siri have been inseparable since childhood. They share everything, finish each other's sentences and tease each other mercilessly, but their bond has never been romantic. Then Chandu falls in love with Uma, and Siri finds a partner of her own, and the closeness that seemed so natural to the two of them starts to look suspicious to everyone else. Their families and partners push them to choose, and the friends have to work out what they really mean to each other. Oh My Friend was the directing debut of Venu Sriram, later known for Middle Class Abbayi and Vakeel Saab, and was produced by Dil Raju. Siddharth also sang for the film, and Shruti Haasan's performance was one of her early Telugu leads.
