Ohm Shanthi Oshaana (2014)

Pooja Mathew grows up wild, sporty and unafraid, nothing like the gentle girl her family imagines. As a teenager she falls hard for Giri, a strong, quiet young man who runs a farm and seems not to notice her, and the film follows her schemes and setbacks across the years as she tries to make him fall for her, with support from her easy-going father. Unusually for Malayalam romances, the story is told from the girl's point of view, with Nazriya narrating. It was the debut of Jude Anthany Joseph, who later made 2018, and became a big sleeper hit with youthful audiences, praised for its warmth and humour and for Shaan Rahman's songs.
