The market yard at Ongole is run by Adikesavulu, a cunning, much-feared trader who has crushed every rival on his way up. Among those he ruined was the father of White, a fast-talking, fearless young man who now works the yard and has a plan of his own. White gets close to Adikesavulu's world, romances his daughter Sandhya and sets about bringing the big man down from within, leading to a series of clashes and twists. The film was a departure for director Bhaskar, known for the family romances Bommarillu and Parugu, into massy territory, with Prakash Raj in commanding form as the villain. Ongole Githa (literally "Ongole bull") puns on the famous Ongole cattle breed of the region.
