Orukkam (1990)

Orukkam ("preparation") is a 1990 Malayalam action drama directed by K. Madhu, best known for his investigative thrillers. Suresh Gopi plays the lead, with Ranjini and Sithara as the heroines, Jagathy Sreekumar providing comedy and Sai Kumar in a key role. The story centres on a man forced back into confrontation with enemies from his past, and builds towards a violent reckoning, with family drama and romance along the way. It belongs to the phase just before Suresh Gopi became the angry action star of Malayalam cinema in the 1990s; its Hindi dub is titled Mumbai Ka Mujrim.
