Paagal (2021)

Prem was raised by a mother who adored him, and after her death he is convinced that only a woman who loves him just as unconditionally can fill the gap. So he sets out to find her, proposing to one girl after another with a sincerity that makes him look slightly mad, and collecting rejections, misunderstandings and the odd near-miss along the way. When he finally meets Theera, the search seems over, but her world brings complications he did not expect. Paagal ("crazy") is a romantic comedy-drama that mixes broad laughs with the sentiment of a mother-son bond. It was the debut film of director Naresh Kuppili, and Vishwak Sen, then known for edgier roles, played it as an all-out lover boy.
