Paradha (2025)

Subbalakshmi lives in a village where, by long custom, women keep their faces veiled in public. When an incident threatens her reputation and her engagement, she sets out beyond the village for the first time, accompanied by two very different women, and the journey forces all three to question the rules they have lived by. Paradha is a women-centred drama with touches of humour, directed by Praveen Kandregula, whose debut Cinema Bandi was a celebrated small film. It gave Anupama Parameswaran one of her most substantial lead roles, with Malayalam actor Darshana Rajendran and veteran Sangeetha alongside her.
