Subramaniam is a man who was driven to kill and has been sentenced to death. Instead of being hanged, he is secretly recruited by a senior police officer, played by Prakash Raj, who gives him a new name, Paramasivan, and a mission: eliminate dangerous men who are beyond the reach of the courts. As he carries out his assignments, a love story with Laila's character and a growing sense that he is being used complicate his loyalties. The film is best remembered for Ajith's dramatic physical transformation for the role: he lost a large amount of weight to play the lean, hardened avenger. Director P. Vasu packed it with action, and Vivek supplies the comedy.
