Description

Parasmani takes its name from the mythical philosopher's stone that turns iron to gold, and is a fantasy adventure of the kind Babubhai Mistry, a master of special effects in mythological and fantasy films, made his speciality: kingdoms, magic, quests and trick photography. Mahipal, the hero of countless costume fantasies, leads the cast with Geetanjali. Its lasting claim to fame is its music: this was the first film credited to Laxmikant–Pyarelal, who went on to become one of the most successful composing teams in Hindi film history, and songs such as "Hansta Hua Noorani Chehra" and "Woh Jab Yaad Aaye" were hits that launched them.
