Parivar (1967)

Parivar is a 1967 Hindi family drama directed by Kidar Sharma, the veteran writer-director who had launched Raj Kapoor and Madhubala in Neel Kamal. It came in the year Jeetendra broke through with Farz, and pairs him with Nanda, a leading star of the 1960s, with Om Prakash in support. As the title suggests, the film is built around the ties, quarrels and sacrifices of a family, with songs and comedy in the style of the time. It is a modest film of its era, of interest to followers of Jeetendra's early career and of Nanda.
