Jeyaraj is a popular gaana singer from the Parris Corner area of north Chennai, with a big voice and a bigger attitude. After a breakup, he falls for a new woman and seems set for a happy ending, until he discovers a tangle in the family history that makes the match disastrous. He tries every trick to sort things out, with increasingly messy results. Parris Jeyaraj reunites comedian-turned-hero Santhanam with director Johnson K., who made A1 with him, and keeps the same mix of local slang, rapid-fire jokes and broad family comedy. Santhosh Narayanan's gaana-flavoured songs fit the north Chennai setting.
