Pathaam Valavu ("tenth bend") is a 2023 Malayalam drama-thriller directed by M. Padmakumar, the maker of Joseph and Mamangam. Indrajith Sukumaran plays a police officer and Suraj Venjaramoodu a convict who returns to his hillside home on parole, and the film follows the tense relationship that develops between them and their families, as the past keeps pulling them back. Aditi Ravi and Swasika play the women in their lives. Set along the winding ghat roads of the title, it is a character-driven film about guilt, family and second chances, carried by two strong performances.
