Peechaankai (2017)

Smooth is a slick pickpocket in Chennai whose fingers are the source of his living. After an accident he develops alien hand syndrome, a rare neurological condition, and his left hand starts doing things without his control, including slapping, grabbing and stealing. At the same time he has picked up a mobile phone holding a secret that a politician and his men will kill for. Peechaankai, Chennai slang for the left hand, is a quirky Tamil black comedy thriller that wrings both laughs and tension from its unusual premise, with R. S. Karthik in the lead.
