Pellaina Kothalo (2006)

Pellaina Kothalo ("newly married") follows a young couple in the early days of their marriage as they learn each other's habits, deal with family expectations and work through misunderstandings that threaten to pull them apart. Jagapati Babu plays the husband and Priyamani the wife, in one of her early Telugu successes. The film is a gentle, domestic comedy-drama rather than a mass entertainer, and its warmth and realistic touches made it a surprise hit. It was the directorial debut of Madan, who wrote dialogue for other films before this, and its songs were well liked.
