Periya Idathu Pillai (1990)

Periya Idathu Pillai ('the son of a big family') is a 1990 Tamil film directed by Senthilnathan, with Arjun in the lead, Kanaka as the heroine and Goundamani supplying the comedy. It comes from the period when Arjun was becoming Tamil cinema's 'Action King', known for his martial-arts fight scenes, and Kanaka was a new heroine after her debut in Karakattakaran (1989). The title suggests a story about a young man from a wealthy, powerful household. It is a lesser-known film of the era, sold in Hindi as Shakaal.
