Vijay Gurumoorthy is among the richest men in India, and those closest to him want his fortune. Their scheme is extraordinary: kill him in all but body and replace his brain with that of a poor man they can control. The man they choose is Sathya, a beggar haunted by the loss of his sister. When Sathya wakes up in a billionaire's body, he begins using the wealth in ways his captors never planned. Pichaikkaran 2 is a follow-up in name and spirit to Vijay Antony's 2016 hit Pichaikkaran, and his debut as director; he also composed the music and edited the film. He was seriously injured in a boat accident in Malaysia during filming but returned to complete it.
