Podhuvaga En Manasu Thangam is a Tamil village comedy-drama starring Udhayanidhi Stalin as a cheerful young man who spends his time with his friends and keeps up a feud with the head of the neighbouring village, played by R. Parthiban. Matters get complicated when he falls in love with a young woman (Nivetha Pethuraj) connected to the other side, and the old rivalry over the village temple festival flares up again. Soori supplies much of the comedy as the hero's sidekick, and D. Imman's rural-flavoured songs set the mood. A light, family-friendly entertainer set in the Tamil countryside.
