Pokémon: Indigo League, the first season of the Pokémon animated series, originally aired in Japan from April 1, 1997, to January 21, 1999. This collection, released in the United States in 1998, features the adventures of Ash Ketchum and his friends as they explore the Safari Zone, aiming to catch the legendary Minizook. However, their efforts are thwarted by Team Rocket, who use a special water anesthesia bomb to capture all the Pokémon in the lake, including the legendary White Dragon. Despite not catching the Minizook, the episode ends with Ash and his friends determined to continue their quest.
