A polka radio broadcast, recorded off air. Polka radio is a living regional tradition in the United States rather than a historical curiosity: independent hosts programme two or three hours a week on small community and college stations across the polka belt — Chicago, Buffalo, Cleveland, western Massachusetts, the Pennsylvania coal towns — playing new releases alongside records decades old, reading out anniversaries and hall dates, and taking calls. Much of it was never recorded by anyone but the listeners. This is A Blast From The Past Happy Louie Birthday Show, broadcast on 4 August 2016. The host, the station and the records played are not written down anywhere in the file; they are spoken aloud in the broadcast itself.
