Popcorn (2023)

Popcorn is a small Telugu romantic drama built around a single situation: a young man and a young woman, strangers who clash from the start, find themselves trapped in a lift in a shopping mall, and help does not come for many hours. Cut off from the world, with their phones of little use, they argue, panic, share secrets and slowly start to see each other differently. Avika Gor and Sai Ronak carry almost the whole film between them, and the confined setting makes it as much a two-hander about loneliness and trust as a love story.
