Pratikaar (1991)

Pratikaar ('retaliation') is a 1991 Hindi film directed by T. Rama Rao, the Telugu filmmaker who made a long series of Hindi family and action dramas in the 1980s and 1990s. It pairs Anil Kapoor with Madhuri Dixit, one of the most popular screen couples of the period after Tezaab and Kishen Kanhaiya, with Rakhee in a pivotal role. As its title signals, the story turns on wrongs done and avenged, in the emotional, dialogue-driven style typical of Rama Rao's Hindi films. It is a lesser-remembered entry in the Anil-Madhuri filmography.
