Sudheer, Nandu and their companions are each convinced, for reasons of their own, that life is not worth living, and they decide to commit suicide together at a remote farmhouse. Before they can go through with it, strange things begin to happen: one of them seems to be possessed, and the spirit in the house wants something from them. The more they try to escape, the funnier and more frightening the situation becomes. Prema Katha Chitram is a horror comedy written by Maruthi that became a surprise hit and helped start a wave of low-budget horror comedies in Telugu. Comedian Saptagiri broke through with his frantic comic turn, and Nanditha made her Telugu debut. A sequel, Prema Katha Chitram 2, followed in 2019.
