Puli (2015)

In an imaginary kingdom, the villagers live in terror of the Vedhalams, a clan of warriors with uncanny powers who serve a sinister queen and her commander. Marudheeran, a cheerful young man from a village, is drawn into their world when the woman he loves is taken, and his journey into the enemy's fortress reveals secrets about his own origins. Puli ("tiger") is a large-budget Tamil fantasy adventure with talking creatures, giants and dwarves, aimed at a family audience. It marked Sridevi's return to Tamil cinema after many years, and Kannada star Sudeep played the villain. Devi Sri Prasad composed the songs.
