Puta 109 is a Kannada crime thriller from director Dayal Padmanabhan, a film-maker known for compact, dialogue-driven suspense dramas. Jayaram Karthik leads the cast alongside Vaishnavi Chandran and Anupama Gowda in a story built around a murder case and the interrogations that follow it, with the investigators trying to separate truth from the versions the suspects tell them. Like several of Padmanabhan's films it keeps to a small cast and relies on tension and twists rather than big set pieces. The title, meaning "page 109", points to a detail at the heart of the case. The Hindi dub keeps the original title.
